Bruinooge Funds Two Scholarships Through Gift in Will

Karen Bruinooge ’63Karen Bruinooge ’63 was encouraged to attend Carroll by her father, James Bruinooge ’31. In gratitude for her education, Karen has made a bequest in her will to support Carroll’s future. “Once my gift is invested in Carroll’s endowment, only the interest will be used every year,” she says. “It will allow me to help students forever!” Karen is creating two scholarships: one in biology named for her father, and one in her name to support music students. “The future of students really matters,” she concludes. “It is important to help students earn an education.”
